New VS Used/Reconditioned Pillow System Machinery
New Machinery:
In general each piece of machinery in a NEW Pillow System I is built from scratch. We tend to quote RECONDITIONED feeders on most systems, but a new feeder is available if requested. New machinery includes all new metal, bearings, motors, aprons, rolls, wire-mains, feed-rolls, electrical components, etc. Each piece is replaceable and generally interchangeable with other new equipment. We have complete dimensioned drawings and specifications on all new equipment. Based on experience we can often quote production expectations for each component. New equipment is warranted for one year from date of delivery for parts and workmanship.
Used/Reconditioned Machinery:
We are often able to provide a lower priced line by using used components and reconditioning them for use in a system. A U/R Pillow System I consists of reconditioned components when available. These components may be from several different original manufacturers and may vary from system to system. In general, reconditioned machinery will include new bearing inserts, cleaned, painted, replaced or repaired metal components, new motors or aprons when necessary, appropriate guarding, and duct transitions to construct a complete system. Machinery is run in the factory and deemed in good working condition. Due to the age, construction and manufacturer of origin for each piece of equipment, we cannot guarantee the fit, finish or replaceability of each part. However, the system still carries the same one-year parts and workmanship warranty as a new system.
